A behavioral adaptation that the Jerboa has is that when it can't find any water it will dig for roots and get water out of them. Another is that they hibernate in their burrows winter to avoid the intense cold, they use different burrows in the winter than the summer since they have to be warmer. Some physical adaptations are their huge ears, these let them hear predators and their insectorial prey, and their long back legs (40 - 46 mm) which let them jump up to 9 ft so they can get away from predators and catch flying bugs. These all help them survive and reproduce because if they had no water or weren't able to get warm in winter they would die and therefore be unable to reproduce; also if they were caught and eaten by predators or couldn't get food they would die. These are all necessary things for them to have in order to survive.
